Windows Vista vs. Linux: Why Vista Might Lose the Battle – Tech News – Playfuls.com – Science & Technology

I don’t know how to take these things. When I first got into linux it was because of an article like this. I figured it’s better to learn about the future now. Besides … it was free. Don’t get me wrong I love linux, but I just don’t see Microsoft loosing.

95% of all software written seems to be for windows. Good news is most viruses are written for windows, and windows exploits.

Almost all hardware has a nice little M$ logo. Only way I can see it is if hardware truely is an issue, and they don’t make room for older devices. Backwards compatability has always been an issue when upgrading.

I bought a PS2 because it would play PS1 games, and I’ll probably get a PS3 because it will be able to play PS1, and PS2 games. If my PS2 wouldn’t have played PS1 games I might have considered a different gaming console. Although … due to their little stunt with DRM I might not.

Almost all games released for a computer are written for M$ first, and then everything else.

Linux doesn’t have many high end games. I remember seeing quake or something like that for linux, but I’m not one to play shoot em up games like that. It’s just not my thing.

Rest assured if you buy vista and something simple like your usb drive doesn’t work with it I seriously doubt the public would buy it. Then again … I could be wrong.
