I’m never going to buy a Western Digital drive again.
This is just stupid, I mean I write music, and if I want my music available it should be. Shoot if I want music I own to be available it should be. So I can access it.
As for video just imagine the thousands of hours of home videos you can’t show grandma. It’s stupid, it’s dumb, and it’s going to hurt them more than help them.
What’s the point of even having a 1TB network drive if you can’t use it for audio/video. It’s stupid, just plain stupid.
Not everyone is a pirate. Not everyone has hours of movies, and if a person does rip their own stuff I think it’s fair use.
It makes about as much sense as Apple putting out an ipod that won’t let you listen to .mp3 on it.
