I do not own a gun, unless you want to count a squirt gun, but in a disaster area like this … I would definitely look for one.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
People have the right to own guns for just such an occasion. For the ‘security of a free state.’
I’m not saying hey let’s go kill our neighbors in a state of emergency. I am however saying that you have the right to protect you, your family, and your property in the state of emergency against looters. Granted your crap is already soaked, but what about food? It’s gotta be scarce.
This is going to cause a civl war. For the love of God – oh that’s right He doesn’t exist according to the ‘school system’ – don’t take their guns away. Seriously I think that the people who exersise their right to bear arms would win, because those of us who don’t have a wepon to fight with.
I don’t know if anyone in power is even looking at this, but you can’t do that. No matter how much ‘anarchy’ is in the streets. No matter how much you want to control the situation. You can’t. These people are panicing, and if you start taking guns away from law abiding citizens, they are liable to become criminals. They have a right to have guns, and use them to defend themselves. FROM YOU!
Maybe I would feel different if I lived there, and was getting looted. Maybe I would want the police to come along and take everyones guns away. However there are enough people that have bumper stickers that say something along the lines … ‘you can pry my gun from my corps.’ It makes you think ‘Do I really want to mess with this person?’ Do you really want to make a bad situation worse?
The second amendment doesn’t say jack about .. in the state of national emergency. Shoot it doesn’t even mention if you have a felony you can’t own a gun. Granted I agree felons shouldn’t be walking around with guns.
Well I’ve probably streched my First Amendment rights to the limit on one. So I’ll shut up before I get branded an enemy of the state, or a terrorist because someone in charge doesn’t like what I have to say.
Forget it. You’re the big government. Do what you like I don’t matter, but their are enough gun nuts that care. We’re all just a bunch of mindless media zombies that belive anything that box tells us.
