I’m bummed. I got into this game after having it sit on the shelf for over a year. It was fun, I was web slinging all over the place, and got pretty good at it. There’s nothing quite like swinging from building to building. Doing things that in real life, well you’d be dead in 5 seconds flat.

This kinda pisses me off, the other day I was using stumble upon, and the “rick roll” video showed up. So for all I know I’m now on some list. I’m waiting for the FBI to come knocking on my door. All because I clicked stumble!

ATTN: Browser developers.
I’m pissed off at every browser developer out there. I’m talking to you ie, firefox, opera, safari, konqueror, galeon, lynx, and links.
Why?! Well you’re all a bunch of jerks. Why? Well I’ve been working on an upload progress bar. Yup something simple, something really simple, or so you would think.
For those of you who don’t know anything about uploads on a web page, they look a little like this:
<form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="POST">
<input type="file" name="somefile">
<input type="submit" value="Send File" />
</form>
That basically tells your browser, hey send this file when visitor presses submit.
What bothers me is I’ve spent the last 10 hours of my life working on something that isn’t going to work on all browsers, and should have been implemented in the browser to begin with.
To get your browser to show those upload progress bars on web pages, is a hideous hack.

You know there are many “reasons” to have increased airport security.  In the end this is the sort of thing that happens. People who have time dependent life or death situations are dying.
Honestly, we need to stop harassing innocents in the name of security.
More likely than not nobody is going to get in trouble for this. Because like the SS Storm Troupers they were just doing their job.
